Reality television personality and luxury real estate broker Fredrik Eklund is the first owner of a $3.35 million unit in a newly built Manhattan condominium, the New York Post reports. The fourth-floor apartment features two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and arched windows.

The Million Dollar Listing star shared a video of himself on Instagram standing on the balcony of his new West Village abode, proudly holding up the keys to the 1,400-square-foot dwelling. “It’s always such a special feeling buying a new home full of new beginnings,” Eklund wrote in the caption, adding that the building was particularly dear to him because he “signed the very first contract after having worked on it in pre-development for years with the team.”

Eklund and his business partner, John Gomes, who also bought a unit in the building, handled the sales of its 28 units. Eklund told the Post that the residences all sold off-market “pretty immediately.” The duo lead Douglas Elliman’s Eklund Gomes team, which sold $3.77 billion in real estate last year.

The Bethenny & Fredrik star described the ivy-covered red brick structure as “the romance of old New York, but highly amenitized.” A courtyard with a waterfall, a serene lobby, a rooftop terrace, and a wood-paneled gym are among the building’s offerings. Its modern interiors were designed by Space Copenhagen.

In June, Eklund sold his Beverly Hills home, which AD toured in 2021, for $10 million. The Swede moved to Miami in the summer of 2023. He said that the new Manhattan dwelling will serve as his base in New York. “We are working on the closets and interiors now,” Eklund told the Post. If his former Beverly Hills pad is any indication, the finished space will sport a cheerful color palette. “We love happy, bright colors, we just didn’t know how far we wanted to take it,” the realtor said of the approach he and husband Derek Kaplan took to decorating their California home, which featured pale pink interiors.
