Eintracht Frankfurt want to make their loan move for Rasmus Kristensen from Leeds United permanent.

The 27-year-old right-back joined Leeds in the summer of 2022 in a €10million (£8.34m) transfer from Red Bull Salzburg.

The Denmark international spent last season on loan at Roma, where he made 31 appearances before moving to Frankfurt in the summer of 2024 on a season-long loan deal.

Kristensen has since becoming a regular for Dino Toppmoller’s side; making 18 Bundesliga appearances and a further seven matches in the Europa League, where Eintracht have qualified for the last-16 stage.

Talks were held between the clubs in January but no agreement was reached. Leeds expect the deal to be revisited in the summer window but Eintracht are hoping to find a quick resolution.

Kristensen has not made an appearance for the club since 2023. He played 30 games across all competitions in the 2022-23 season as Leeds were relegated from the Premier League.

Frankfurt are currently third in the Bundesliga, 15 points off league leaders Bayern Munich, and are next in action at home to Holstein Kiel on Sunday.
