Four people people were pronounced dead at a residence in Bloomington, Illinois, on Sunday, Feb. 23.

The Bloomington Police Department and the McLean County Coroner’s Office are investigating the deaths in the 900 block of North Lee Street, according to a news release. Four people were pronounced dead at the scene by the McLean County coroner.

Identification of the four people will not be released until the next of kin are notified, and autopsies are pending.

A preliminary investigation suggested there was no threat to the public as of Sunday night.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives today,” Bloomington police Chief Jamal Simington said in a statement. “Our detectives continue to diligently investigate this unfortunate incident in an effort to get some answers for the victims’ loved ones and our community.”

The Bloomington Police Department and the McLean County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate.
