FLK It Over gets NSW agents VOI compliant

Real estate agents in New South Wales are facing increasing pressure to meet strict compliance requirements, particularly with the introduction of the Verification of Identity (VOI) process.

Traditionally, this has been a cumbersome, multi-step procedure, causing significant delays and frustration for agents and clients alike.

However, thanks to a recent upgrade from FLK It Over, agents can now streamline this process, delivering a seamless client experience that will keep them compliant.

FLK It Over, a digital platform designed by agents for agents, is revolutionising how real estate professionals manage their agreements, from property management to sales contracts.

Since 1 July New South Wales agents have not only been required to do identity verification, but also been required to meet new guidelines around how they handle the collection of the data and then the destruction of the data.

Andrew Colagiuri, Founder of FLK It Over, saw this as a critical issue that needed addressing.

“The biggest issue was the amount of back-and-forth involved in signing documents,” Mr Colagiuri said.

“But now, agents can handle everything in one sitting, whether it’s signing the agreement, completing the verification of identity or collecting marketing costs.”

FLK It Over’s VOI functionality allows agents to collect all the required documents from clients in a single session, eliminating the need for multiple touchpoints over several days.

Clients simply upload their documents through the platform, and agents can verify them instantly.

“What this upgrade means is a typically 2 to 4 step process segmented over 2 to 5 days can now be done in one sitting from the landlord and vendor,” Mr Colagiuri said.

“It is also a really impressive client experience that reflects on the agents from a professionalism point of view.”

The system also automatically creates an audit trail, removing sensitive data to comply with the Privacy Act, thus ensuring agents remain compliant while protecting client privacy.

For busy sales offices managing multiple listings, this upgrade not only saves time but also reduces the risk of compliance errors.

“By integrating VOI into the signing process, agents can avoid the grey areas and ensure they meet supervision guidelines seamlessly,” Mr Colagiuri said.

FLK It Over’s latest update has also seen the platform dramatically improve the way in which documents are reviewed by clients.

Gone are the days of sending clients dense, hard-to-read PDF according to Mr Colagiuri.

Instead, FLK It Over deconstructs these documents into manageable chunks, presenting the information in a clear, step-by-step format.

Clients can easily navigate through the contract, reviewing key details like commission rates, marketing costs, and lease terms before signing.

The platform is also fully device-responsive, meaning clients can review and sign agreements on any device, whether they’re at their desk or on the go.

This flexibility not only improves the client’s experience but also makes the agent look more professional and tech-savvy.

“Clients appreciate the transparency and ease of use,” Mr Colagiuri said.

“It builds trust when they can clearly see and understand what they’re agreeing to, rather than being overwhelmed by a massive document.”

Mr Colagiuri said that in a typical sales agreement, an agent might need to collect signatures, verify identity, gather material fact declarations, and obtain marketing cost approvals—all of which would usually take several days and multiple interactions.

FLK It Over consolidates all these steps into one streamlined workflow, drastically reducing the number of touchpoints required and allowing agents to move forward more quickly.

“In real estate, time is everything,” Colagiuri said.

“The faster we can get signatures and complete compliance steps, the sooner agents can get back to what they do best—selling properties.”
