Good news for readers, literary magazine supporters, quiz-lovers, and weirdos: n+1‘s Bookmatch is back! If you make a donation of any amount to n+1 in the month of November, you can take a short, highly entertaining multiple choice quiz (sample question: If no teeth, you eat:), and you’ll get a unique list of ten book recommendations from friends and editors of n+1, including Rumaan Alam, Hernan Diaz, Mary Gaitskill, Sarah Hagi, and Gary Shteyngart.

If you’re feeling flush enough to give a larger donation, you can get copies of some or all of the books on your list, as well as discounts on merch and subscriptions, and the all-important literary tote bag. Aside from the perks, your donation will help support urgent—and, with the continued decimation of literary magazines, increasingly rare—political and literary writing that n+1 publishes.

To learn more about the history and future of the magazine, check out Jonny Diamond’s conversation with n+1 co-editors Mark Krotov and Dayna Tortorici on the Lit Hub Podcast.

And, in case you’re curious, if no teeth, I eat: chocolate pudding.

Get your Bookmatch here.
