Parenta Training, the UK’s largest early years training provider, has once again demonstrated its persistent commitment to the early years sector by securing access to a £28 million levy funding pot. This achievement will allow employers to train their staff completely free of charge, offering a much-needed lifeline to a sector currently facing significant financial challenges.

At a time when employers are dealing with a recruitment and retention crisis, this funding breakthrough is well-needed. The early years sector has been particularly hard-hit, struggling to maintain financial stability while ensuring high standards of care and education.

Dr Allan Presland, CEO of Parenta Training said “This is a game-changer for our sector. We have worked tirelessly to support early years settings nationwide, and the fruits of our labour have paid off. Some employers could previously only afford to put just one apprentice through a qualification and pay the 5% contribution, while others couldn’t afford even that. Now, thanks to Parenta Training, they will be able to enrol as many staff members as needed, completely free of charge with 0% contribution.”

Fast-Frack Level 3 Early Years Educator

This newly secured funding coincides with the launch of Parenta’s fast-track Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) apprenticeship. This accelerated path guarantees that employers will have a qualified member of staff in just 53 weeks plus the time taken for the End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Dr. Presland added, “This is the turning point the sector has been waiting for. We anticipate these fully funded places will be snapped up quickly during this special offer period for July and August. This new secured funding, together with our fast-track Level 3 apprenticeship program will revolutionise the workforce in early years settings, and at last, we will be able to provide a sustainable solution to the ongoing staffing challenges.”
