Staring into the abyss of the next administration, many have turned to a 2015 meme that aptly summarizes the masochism involved in casting a vote for Donald Trump:

So, as we say goodbye to the dumpster fire of 2024, here are some more Trump supporters who are in for an especially rough next four years:

1.First, there’s the Trump voter who “employs many undocumented workers”:

Tweet from @RpsAgainstTrump featuring a South Dakota farmer discussing concerns about Trump's potential mass deportations affecting local labor needs

2.There’s the “Trump fan” who, lo and behold, found out that Elon Musk’s proximity to the incumbent president was “a bad idea”:

Screenshot of tweets discussing billionaires' influence and corruption. Elon Musk and Donald J. Trump are mentioned. Cameron Potter criticizes it

3.There’s the conservative that has “mixed feelings” about Trump’s proposed tariffs but is looking for a good “counter argument” for anyone who points out how bad they’ll hurt the economy:

Summary of the image: A Reddit user requests counterarguments to Trump tariff claims and seeks a balanced perspective on tariff impacts on US citizens

4.There’s the Trump voter who expressed his irritation at Trump for likely having never “actually read a book or studied politics/constitution in his life”:

Social media post criticizing Trump for lack of knowledge on politics or the constitution, despite having voted for him

5.There are the farm groups who want the whole “mass deportation” thing not to apply to them:

A tweet questioning the timing of a conversation about US farm groups urging Trump to spare their workers from deportation, with a newspaper heading

6.There’s the undocumented immigrant who is “glad her children voted for Trump,” because she thinks he only “wants to deport criminals” (entering the US without authorization is a felony):

Rosa expresses relief her children voted for Trump, feels safe from deportation, and believes Trump targets criminals, not law-abiding immigrants

7.There’s the person who will “probably always vote Republican,” despite their family facing “fucking real and scary” medical debt:

Social media comment expressing frustration with healthcare after a family tragedy, mentioning political views and the unaffordability of medical aid

8.There’s the pro-Trump union leader who was “frustrated” when the president-elect “lied”:

9.There are the Black Republicans who called out Trump’s majority-white cabinet picks:

Tweet by CJ G featuring a RawStory headline about Black Republicans feeling excluded due to Trump's mostly white Cabinet picks

10.There’s the regretful voter who “wasn’t expecting” Trump to be “anti cancer funding”:

Conversation on social media where users express regret about a political vote due to unexpected anti-cancer funding stance

11.Finally, there are the Trump voters who found out that his comments on Luigi Mangione did not exactly make him a man of the people:

Social media comment thread discussing voter regret, with some users agreeing and others acknowledging the sentiment

Yikes. If you have a story about family members, friends, or neighbors who recently realized what their Trump vote actually meant, let us know in the comments below. Your response could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post.
