Belle Property has appointed David Holmes as its Queensland Head of State.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Holmes served as the chief auctioneer for LJ Hooker and later established Holmes Auctions, an independent auctioneering business operating across Southeast Queensland, Northern NSW, and the ACT.

Mr Holmes will head the Queensland helm of both Belle Property and Hockingstuart.

Belle Property Chief Executive Officer Peter Hanscomb welcomed Mr Holmes to the network.

“We are very cognisant of the rich talent and industry experience within our Queensland offices, and we believe that David’s strong leadership skills are well-aligned to support the network for the next stage of significant growth across the QLD market,” he said.

Mr Holmes accolades include being named the REIQ Auctioneer of the Year in 2021 and 2023.

Additionally, he is recognised as a respected industry coach, having worked with prominent figures to enhance their skill sets, strategies, and business acumen.

“I feel fortunate to be part of the Belle Property and Hockingstuart team and be given the opportunity to write the next chapter for the brands in QLD and further help cement the brands as the preferred choice for prospective home buyers and sellers,” Mr Holmes said.

Belle Property Head of Growth, Nick Boyd,  expressed confidence in Mr Holmes’ appointment.

“David brings great insight into the real estate space and has strong connections across the Queensland market,” he said.

“He operates with clear conviction and empathy, qualities that we believe will resonate with the best in our business.

“David is a great asset for the network, and we are confident that under his guidance, our people and offices will thrive and prosper.”
