Democrats are deep in the middle of pushing a cult-like “Elon Derangement Syndrome” over DOGE chief Elon Musk.
It’s that Saul Alinsky tactic. They did it for ten years against President Donald Trump and still ultimately failed with the majority of Americans electing Trump anyway.
Now they’re trying it with Elon and it’s similarly destined to fail. Not only that, but it’s revealing, after the false attacks on Trump that they’ve made, that some are now revealing their own xenophobia and hypocrisy.
There was Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), who basically was saying Musk couldn’t be trusted because he’d “only been a citizen for 22 years.”

That’s deeply nuts, particularly given how Democrats insist anyone who walks over the border should be embraced and not removed from the country. How do you possibly square that circle?
But Tim Walz, Kamala Harris’ former running mate, went down that xenophobic road when he was making an attack on Musk this week. As we’ve already seen with Walz, the Minnesota Governor has a gift for getting things wrong. This was quite the hot take — wrong in every way.

“There’s nothing conservative about an unelected South African nepo baby firing people at the VA,” Walz said at a town hall in Des Moines.
First, I really despise this ridiculous “unelected” tack for the left. Trump was elected on the specific promise to appoint Musk to cut the waste, fraud, and abuse. Trump appointed Musk. So if being “unelected” somehow invalidates him, then the Democrats have to invalidate every other federal employee because virtually all of them aren’t elected either. Democrats glorify the bureaucratic state, they don’t want it cut. So what’s the real problem with Musk? It’s their EDS; it isn’t him being unelected.
Then what the heck is this “South African nepo baby” thing? That is just straight-up xenophobic, just like Kaptur’s comments. So he has a problem with people who are from Africa? Yikes. But also they’re trying to “otherize” him when he’s an American citizen for 22 years. And people in the audience clap for that? Then they have a problem too. The “nepo baby” thing is just dumb as well. He became a billionaire by the dint of his genius and his hard work, because he built companies. He wasn’t handed where he got.
Then too, Musk is not “firing” anyone. He and his team are making recommendations that are then evaluated by the agencies and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). They’re the folks deciding whether to cut, and they’re cutting so we don’t go under as a country from debt. Frankly, that’s very conservative and important to saving the country.
Walz shouldn’t even be talking, given how he’s driven his own state into the ground. The left should be thanking Musk for trying to save the country.
CNN commentator Scott Jennings blasted Walz and the Democrats in general for this take.
Between these Musk attacks and their “who will pick the cotton?” immigration logic, Dems are really covering themselves in xenophobic and racist glory rn.

Exactly, and they wonder why they lost. This is one of the many, many reasons — lies and incredible hypocrisy. They only see illegal aliens as basically manual laborers to mow lawns and clean hotel rooms.
So keep having people like this as the face of the Democrat Party, and they will never win again. Works for me.
