Democrats have been losing their minds over DOGE looking into the finances of the various executive branch agencies. They’ve resorted to arguing that the president, the head of the executive branch, can’t review or designate people to review said agencies, arguing that’s somehow “illegal.” It’s a bizarre argument.

One of the most problematic things has been all the things uncovered about USAID. They also want you to think that it’s all just defensible aid.
Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) tried that tactic on CNN with Michael Smerconish. Smerconish asked if funding an Iraqi version of “Sesame Street” was a “judicious use of soft power.” Coons argued it was a show that “helped teach values.”

Coons argued it is “pennies on the dollar,” and just a “small proportion” of the federal budget. He claimed as he “and Joe” would often say it isn’t just “soft power,” but “smart power.” Then he tried to argue that if you “slash aid spending” you are going to have to spend more on bullets for troops.
Wow, talk about gaslighting. People are going to die without “Sesame Street”?
I bet if you actually looked at this to determine if there were “results,” it would be highly problematic.
Then really, spending $20 million for such a thing? Why not just run the old show from the Seventies, with a translation? But to Coons, it’s just “pennies on the dollar” — that’s what’s most offensive in all this. It’s just our money, so hey, it can be thrown at things like this. And you wonder how we’ve end up so much in debt. A little here, a little there, and suddenly we’re talking about real money.
This doesn’t even get into other expenditures, which are even worse. They’d prefer you to think it’s just health aid and Iraqi “Sesame Street.” Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) highlighted some of the big problems, and that was probably just the tip of the iceberg.

Democrats don’t want people to take a look into all of this because then, the corruption will be completely blown open.
Many on X called Coons out for being completely clueless with what he wants to do with taxpayer money.

Others pointed out how Coons tried to gaslight us when it came to Joe Biden and his cognitive decline, so they don’t exactly believe him now.
