With kickoff to Super Bowl LIX quickly approaching, the final injury reports for Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles have been revealed.
The two-time defending champion Chiefs enter Sunday with only wide receiver Skyy Moore listed as doubtful with an abdomen injury as they look to become the first NFL team to achieve a three-peat. Kansas City previously listed quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle), punter Matt Araiza (illness) and offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) but all three players avoided an injury designation after logging full practices, with only Araiza missing Wednesday’s session.
Meanwhile, the Eagles listed defensive end Brandon Graham (elbow), tight end C.J. Uzomah (abdomen) and offensive lineman Nick Gates (groin) as questionable while wide receiver Britain Covey (neck) has been ruled out. Both Covey and Graham are on injured reserve, with the latter landing on the list after tearing his triceps in Week 12. Graham has shown signs of a possible return after two limited practices and a full session on Friday but Covey, who was placed on IR on Dec. 28 after suffering a neck injury in Week 13, will not be cleared despite logging three full practices.
Graham’s status may not be determined until closer to game time but the outlook for Philadelphia’s lineup remains optimistic following Friday’s news given the team listed 11 players on the report to start the week. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter avoided a designation after making headlines with an illness, as did All-Pro linebacker Zack Baun (groin), receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) — a limited participant all week — and guard Landon Dickerson (knee).
Super Bowl LIX will kick off Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox inside the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
