Charles Callis has joined the Besser & Co team, bringing with him over a decade of industry experience and a reputation for delivering personalised service.

The move follows a longstanding relationship with Dion Besser, in which the two worked in close proximity to each other for many years.

Mr Callis is known for his flexibility and wide reach across Melbourne suburbs including Brunswick, Bentleigh, Caulfield, and Carnegie.

“Dion and I have worked near each other for years, and I admired how he ran things at Besser,” Mr Callis said.

“Likewise, he appreciated my approach to real estate.

“When the offer came through, it felt like the perfect fit.

“Besser & Co is a progressive, dynamic agency with the added strength of a substantial property management portfolio.”

Mr Callis said that the strength of the property management division was particularly attractive for his work with off-the-plan sales and apartments.

He said that he prefers to focus on selling great properties rather than in a certain location.

“If a property is well-priced and offers value, I’ll sell it, no matter where it is,” Mr Callis said.

“A great example is when I sold apartments in Altona Meadows, despite colleagues hesitating due to the location.

“The apartments were fantastic and well-priced, and we saw a tremendous result because the local buyers recognised the value.”

At the heart of Mr Callis’ success is his commitment to personalised service for both buyers and vendors, providing support with legal services, finance, and insurance.

“I provide a highly personalised service, especially for buyers,” he said.

“Whether it’s finding the right lawyer, accountant, or finance provider, I’m there to support my clients every step of the way.”

Mr Callis has been recognised as Salesperson of the Year twice in his previous role, highlighting his sales capabilities and industry expertise.

As he starts on this new journey with Besser and Co, his goals for the coming year are focused on contributing to the agency’s growth.

“I’m more of a seller than a lister, but my focus is to help Dion and the team achieve strong results in 2025,” Mr Callis said.

Outside of real estate, Mr Callis is a passionate supporter of the Carlton Football Club, a dedication that spans four generations within his family.

He also plans to contribute to the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal this year.

Reflecting on his move, Mr Callis said the supportive culture at Besser & Co as a driving factor in his decision.

“Besser is like a family,” he said.

“It’s a fun, dynamic, and professional environment.

“That sense of belonging, combined with the agency’s forward-thinking approach, made this move an easy decision.”
