Let’s start with the clubs from Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues. And before anybody shouts at me, the last time a club from outside one of these leagues won old big ears was back in 2003-04 — a hearty pat on the back for those of you who can remember who that was.

England: Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa

Spain: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Girona, Atletico Madrid

Italy: Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Bologna

Germany: Bayer Leverkusen, Stuttgart, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund

France: Paris St-Germain, Monaco, Brest
