Earlier this year, AD100 designer Sara Story listed her family’s 13-acre home in Sneden’s Landing, New York. The home has officially sold for $26.125 million—shy of their asking price of $28.5 million, but high enough to set a Rockland County record. It’s the highest price paid for a single family home in the county, and also the second highest sale across Nassau, Suffolk, Orange, Putnam, Columbia, Ulster, and Sullivan counties in 2024.

Story spent four years renovating the property, which centers on an 8,000-square-foot mansion built in the 19th century. Oak millwork, a variety of marble types, and hand-selected finishes combine for an atmosphere that is clearly well-curated and updated, while still honoring its historic texture with plaster medallions and brickwork. Additional structures on the property include a sauna, a concrete pergola, and a 5,700-square-foot home known as the Fern Lodge, which adds eight bedrooms, four bathrooms, and converted stables.

Richard Ellis, listing agent and broker-owner of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty, held the listing, while Christie’s International Real Estate Group represented the buyer.

Cara Delevingne’s Los Angeles home sells for $4.6 million

Earlier this year, Associated Press reported that Cara Delevigne’s Los Angeles home had been ruined by a fire. The model and actor was away in London, performing in a West End production of Cabaret, while the flames raged for two hours. It began in the rear of the house and spread to the attic, causing the roof to collapse, per NBC4 Los Angeles. Very little news has surfaced about the house in the nine months since, until now. According to the New York Post, the property recently sold for $4.6 million.

In 2021, a couple years after she purchased it, Delevingne shared a look at her home with AD. Located in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Studio City, the property is situated between Mulholland Drive and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, in an area known for its easy access to wilderness and ample mature greenery. Since this deal took place off market, there’s little information about the exact state of the property today.
