Buxton Real Estate signs as major partner for Geelong United Basketball

Buxton Real Estate Group has partnered with Geelong United Basketball for the 2024 WNBL season.

The Announcement:

Buxton Real Estate Group has announced a new major partnership with Geelong United Basketball (GUB) for the 2024 WNBL season.

The partnership recognises Buxton Real Estate’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities, associations and sporting clubs in regional and metro locations across Victoria.

The newest partnership with GUB and Buxton Real Estate Geelong represents a focus on supporting women in sport and aims to strengthen the foundation for players in the team.

“We are thrilled to show our continued support to associations that encourage community participation in sport and foster wellbeing and a sense of belonging in regional areas,” Buxton Real Estate’s CEO, Marcus Williams said.

“With a strong presence across many of Victoria’s regional and major cities, we recognise the important role our agents play in supporting their local community to pursue their property dreams, so it’s important to give something back to the neighbourhoods that supports us.”

The announcement comes off the back of Buxton Real Estate Group’s recent contribution to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), where the group raised $30,562 in August, 2024. 

Buxton’s 17-year relationship with the NCBF has seen the Group raise over $1.4 million since first aligning with the foundation in 2007.

With nearly 1,000 community teams and over 500 pathway players, GUB has grown into one of the largest associations in Geelong, attracting several high-level professional athletes, including Haley Jones and Jaz Shelley.

Connie Bolger, GM of Partnerships and Marketing at Geelong United Basketball, said there were excited to welcome Buxton Real Estate as a major partner for this season. 

“We look forward to working together to support our athletes and build a strong community around women’s basketball,” Ms Bolger said.
