The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will both be without some important players for tonight’s game.
Let’s start with the Bucs, who have some problems at wide receiver. Chris Godwin is out for the remainder of the season after he dislocated his left ankle following a catch late in the fourth quarter of the 41-31 defeat by the Ravens. He has since undergone surgery.
In that same game, Mike Evans exacerbated a preexisting hamstring strain and isn’t expected back until after the team’s Week 11 bye. Two of their backups are questionable tonight in Jalen McMillan (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring).
The Bucs also have a depleted secondary, with cornerbacks Jamel Dean and Bryce Hall both on IR. Rookie safety Tykee Smith (pictured left), meanwhile, is questionable, having only logged a limited practice this week after entering concussion protocol two weeks ago. His fellow safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) is also questionable.
Finally, defensive tackle Greg Gaines (calf) and long snapper Evan Deckers (hamstring) are out tonight, while running back Bucky Irving (toe) is questionable.
As for the Chiefs, they also have issues at WR. JuJu Smith-Schuster (pictured right), who stepped up when Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice suffered long-term injuries, is out with a hamstring problem.
Cornerback Nazeeh Johnson is still progressing through the league’s concussion protocol while defensive end Mike Danna is working his way back from a pectoral injury and won’t play tonight. Tight end Jared Wiley (knee) was placed on IR on Saturday.
