Brighton have completed the signing of Amario Cozier-Duberry from Arsenal on a four-year contract.

The 19-year-old did not make a senior appearance for Mikel Arteta’s side but was an unused substitute in eight first-team matches — including in November’s 2-0 Champions League home victory against Sevilla.

Cozier-Duberry, a winger who has also been deployed more centrally in an attacking midfield role, scored 13 goals and contributed five assists in 24 appearances for Arsenal’s Under-21 side last season, and has been capped by England up to under-19 level.

“We’re really pleased to be able to bring Amario to the club,” Brighton technical director David Weir said.

“He’s got attributes we like and we believe he is a player who can flourish in our environment. We’re looking forward to working with him and helping his career to progress.”

Cozier-Duberry originally joined Arsenal in 2019 but departed this summer after turning down a new contract opportunity.

Cozier-Dubbery becomes Brighton’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Ibrahim Osman.
