Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) has been one of the leading voices calling for protections for women and their private spaces. She recently introduced legislation to ban biological males from using women’s bathrooms and locker rooms on Capitol Hill and on federal land nationwide.

She’s calling the new bill, which she plans to introduce tonight, the “Protecting Women’s Private Spaces Act.” The goal? “To prohibit individuals from accessing or using single-sex facilities on federal property other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.”

As a result of her efforts, she was on the receiving end of countless threats made against her and her staff. One trans activist seems to have taken things way too far and actually assaulted Mace on Tuesday.

I was physically accosted at the Capitol tonight by a pro-tr*ns man. One new brace for my wrist and some ice for my arm and it’ll heal just fine.

The Capitol police arrested the guy.

Your tr*ns violence and threats on my life will only make me double down. FAFO.

This update from Mace came after she had cryptically tweeted, “Yes, I was physically accosted tonight. More to come…”

Despite the many threats coming her way, Nancy Mace has stood firm in her fight to protect women and girls from the radical transgender movement. Here’s what RedState’s Sister Toldjah wrote last month about Mace’s efforts:

Mace in her role as a United States Congresswoman is putting a face to the countless women (and men) in this country who are not cool with the thought that they and/or their loved ones will have to share their safe spaces with someone who says they identify as a woman and who might mean them harm.

Further, they’re very uncomfortable over the possibility that they, who may be in varying stages of undress themselves, will encounter an undressed transgender “woman” who still has male body parts in a changing room, bathroom, etc., something Save Women’s Sports spokeswoman Riley Gaines said happened to her and her teammates on the University of Kentucky women’s swim team.

Messages of support for Rep. Mace began pouring in on Twitter, with many users vowing to stand with her despite the threats being made — and apparently carried out — by the unhinged left. According to Mace, U.S. Capitol police have arrested one person in relation to the assault.

The Capitol police issued the following statement:

“Tonight, the United States Capitol Police (USCP) arrested a person who is accused of assaulting a U.S. Representative.

Just before 6:00 p.m., the Member of Congress’ office reported an incident in the Rayburn House Office Building.  House Division officers, and agents with the Threat Assessment Section, tracked down the suspect. After an investigative interview, officers arrested the suspect, 33-year-old James McIntyre of Illinois. McIntyre is facing a charge for Assaulting a Government Official (18 USC 111).

The Rayburn House Office Building was open to the public at the time of the incident. McIntyre went through security screening prior to entering the Congressional buildings.”

This is a breaking story. We will post updates as more information becomes available.
