Bradley Cooper is an unabashed Philadelphia Eagles fanatic, and he’s brought his Philly pride to New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl LIX in the form of cheesesteaks.
The Hangover actor, 50, and his business partner, Chef Danny, teamed up with Visa on Friday, February 7, to hand out Philly cheesesteaks to fans leading up to the big game in Danny and Coops food truck.
Chef Danny, whose real name is Danny DiGiampietro, explained that the pair wanted to “bring some Philly flavor to the fans in New Orleans” in the leadup to Sunday night’s game.
“We saw a great opportunity to team up with Visa on it to celebrate our fellow small businesses who define incredible cities like this one,” he told People on Friday.
Danny and Coop’s Cheesesteaks opened in December 2023 in New York City to rave reviews. Cooper was there in person to sling steaks last week before taking his talents to New Orleans. His food truck is working with Visa on their Champions of Small Business Initiative, aimed at helping small businesses around the Super Bowl host city throughout Super Bowl week.
As the Eagles prepare to face the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of the Super Bowl two years ago, Cooper has been making the rounds to get his fellow fans ready. He appeared on Today on Tuesday, February 4, where he surprised a young Eagles fan named Declan LeBaron, who suffers from systemic juvenile arthritis, with tickets to the game.
“You’re going to the Super Bowl, baby! Super Bowl! Let’s go!” Cooper told him on-air as confetti rained down.
Declan also went to the Eagles’ NFC Championship victory over the Washington Commanders after he went viral for a video he made with influencer MDMotivator.
“For that whole day, we were able to forget about everything he goes through,” his mom Jillian said. “He’s in pain a lot and has to go to the doctors all the time and we were able to just live in the moment and enjoy his fairy tale and dream come true.”
For Cooper’s part, he has been following the Eagles throughout their playoff run. He attended Philadelphia’s win over the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round with girlfriend Gigi Hadid by his side. He then brought his seven-year-old daughter, Lea, whom he shares with ex Irina Shayk, to the game against the Commanders.
Super Bowl LIX kicks off on Fox at 6:30 p.m. ET from the Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans.
