In a move that should surprise no one considering that the Biden-Harris regime has treated the Border Patrol like dirt, the National Border Patrol Council announced Sunday at a campaign rally in Prescott, Arizona, that they were throwing their support behind Donald Trump. Union president Paul Perez minced no words as he eviscerated Kamala Harris for her utter failure to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into the country:

If we allow Border Czar Harris to win this election, every city, every community in this great country, is going to go to hell. The untold millions of people, unvetted, who she has allowed into this country that are committing murders, rapes, robberies, burglaries, and every other crime will continue to put our country in peril.

Only one man can fix that and that is Donald J. Trump. He has always stood with the men and women who protect this border.

Watch:

Perez continued: “On behalf of the 16,000 men and women represented by the National Border Patrol Council, we strongly support and endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States.”

Fox News’ Bill Melugin noted that agents received a warm welcome from the crowd at the rally:

In a campaign email Sunday touting the endorsement, Trump said what he would do to fix the situation and accused Kamala of being no friend of the Border Patrol:

President Trump will hire 10,000 new Border Patrol agents and ask Congress to immediately approve a 10% raise for all agents, and a $10,000 dollar retention and signing bonus.

As a senator, Kamala Harris fought against funding for additional Border Patrol personnel.

The endorsement comes with less than a month to go before the November election, and as the race has tightened, the border has become an increasingly important issue in people’s minds. Polls are reflecting that:

[An] Economist/YouGov poll, conducted Aug. 11-13, found 54 percent of voters said the most important issues to them were “inflation/prices,” “jobs and the economy,” “immigration” and “taxes and government spending.”

While the exact number is unknown and estimates vary, what’s clear is that there were many millions more illegal alien encounters at the border during the Biden-Harris tenure than there were under Trump, and an untold number remain in the country. No one really knows how many “gotaways” there have been; however, we do know however that numerous crossers are on the terror watch list.

What’s eminently clear is that complete abdication of responsibility by Joe Biden and Border Czar Harris is unsustainable and puts our country in peril. Paul Perez is absolutely right–a vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for more of our cities going to hell.
