As 2024 finally ended and 2025 ushered in a renewed era of hope for tens of millions of Americans, we were again reminded that violence has become all too common in our country, as a radicalized terrorist mowed down New Year’s Eve revelers on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing 15 and injuring multiple others, and in another potential act of terror, a Tesla Cybertruck filled with fireworks exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, killing the driver and injuring several other people.
Whether from mentally disturbed individuals who shouldn’t be on the streets, radicalized American citizens, terrorist organizations, or Mexican drug cartels, deadly violence isn’t simply going to be waved away with a magic wand after President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office.
This brings us to the intentionally caused Biden-Harris Border Crisis™ and its worsening impact on our country and fellow citizens over the last four years.
Trump’s incoming Border Czar, Tom Homan, told “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday that violence along the southern border is expected to initially increase as the administration begins to implement its plan to stop the madness.
Well, I think we may see more of it. I mean, President Trump — I’m not speaking for President Trump, but, you know, he is going to take action against the criminal cartels in Mexico. Criminal cartels in Mexico kill more American people than every terrorist organization in the world. Shutting down the border is going to put them out of business.
Clearly, Tom Homan — unlike disastrous, serial-lying Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas — is a pragmatic, linear thinker, meaning that he and his team are not only thinking ahead; they’re taking steps to eliminate or minimize anticipated violence from the drug cartels who are likely desperate as Biden and Mayorkas are about to slither away, and Trump and Homan are about to enter office with a fierce determination to put an end to the insanity.
Homan spelled it out.
So I think you are going to see more violence on the border in the beginning. It’s something we certainly have to do. We got ‘secure the border’ because it’s the biggest national security vulnerability we have ever seen in this country.
So I think you are going to see more cross-border crime in the beginning, but it’s something that we expect and it’s something we are going to have to deal with because we have to secure that border.
In a wide-ranging interview with The Wall Street Journal last Friday, Homan said the incoming administration is considering the use of military bases to detain illegal aliens and military aircraft to boost deportations.
It’s something that’s certainly on the table. We’re waiting to see what Congress is going to give us for funding.
Homan added that incoming officials haven’t finalized how much money they will need to request from Congress to implement Trump’s deportation plan.
