Confidence is a good thing in almost any endeavor. Confidence reveals that a person knows what they are doing, that they are capable of the tasks ahead of them and know just how to proceed.

Kamala Harris lacks confidence, and according to body language expert Susan Constantine, the vice president and presidential candidate’s stage-managed CNN interview was a vivid display of that lack of confidence.

A body language expert who analyzed Vice President Kamala Harris’ first interview with the media since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee tells Fox News Digital that she believes Harris was “not confident in what she’s saying” and lacked a presidential demeanor.

Welcome to what all of us at RedState and, indeed, all of the Townhall Media Group have been saying for weeks.

“When I look at her overall demeanor, she does not carry the confidence or the presidential appearance in her demeanor to command in her position,” body language expert Susan Constantine told Fox News Digital. “So for everything that I saw last night, she definitely needs to make some tweaks into her body language to appear more confident.”

“The fact that she’s looking down a lot removes a lot of the fluidity and the authenticity,” she added.

I don’t know about fluidity, except that Kamala Harris doesn’t seem to have it. But as for her looking down a lot removing authenticity, honestly, the obvious question here is, “What authenticity?” Kamala Harris is not and never has been authentic about anything other than having massive ambitions that her abilities alone won’t allow her to realize.

But here’s the best bit:

“When she struggles, you start to see a lot of the head bobbling. You know, the head bobbling is ‘what part of the file in my subconscious am I going to pull out? Which ones are my answers?’” Constantine said about Harris. “She couldn’t come up with a crystal clear answer, and that’s why she tends to bobble.”

“When you bobble and waffle like that,” Constantine continued, “that’s another signal that she’s not really… prepared. She doesn’t really have confidence in her own answers.”

Note to Trump campaign: Immediately produce and start selling Kamala Harris bobblehead dolls.

Look, body language expert or not, Susan Constantine is spot-on about Kamala Harris, but this isn’t just a matter of how she presents herself. It’s not her body language that is the problem; her body language is the symptom of a much larger issue, that being that she’s in so far over her head that she can no longer see the surface. It’s not a matter of “What part of the file in my subconscious am I going to pull out?” so much so that there are no files in her subconscious. The woman is an empty suit. She can’t come up with a crystal clear answer because she doesn’t understand the questions. She seems to be actually resistant to absorbing any new information. She’s not prepared because she never was prepared. She lacks the essential base of knowledge she needs to answer even softball multiple-choice questions like the one Dana Bash lobbed at her.

On September 10th — if she goes through with it — she will be facing Donald Trump on the debate stage. If her performance in a softball interview, pre-staged, pre-recorded, edited interview with a friendly host on a friendly network went this badly, then Donald Trump will mop the floor with her.

This all is going to get crazier before it gets, well, crazier still.
