Known for its connection to the golden age of entertainment—and a rumoured tryst between President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, stunning the hacienda-style property offers a unique blend of history, luxury, and privacy.

The property, built around 1955, is set on approximately 2.5 acres within the exclusive Ironwood Country Club, about 15 miles from Palm Springs.

Crosby, famed for his rendition of White Christmas, originally commissioned the estate, which is now owned by retired healthcare executive Randall Burt and his wife, lawyer Julia Burt. The couple purchased the property in 2012 for $3 million and have since renovated it extensively.

According to Keith Badman’s book The Final Years of Marilyn Monroe, Kennedy stayed at Crosby’s estate instead of Frank Sinatra’s, a decision allegedly influenced by U.S. Attorney General Bobby Kennedy due to Sinatra’s reported mafia connections.

Luxury redefined

Now meticulously renovated, the estate spans approximately 6,100 square feet and includes a two-bedroom main house and three separate one-bedroom casitas.

The property boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in total, all fully furnished with an emphasis on timeless elegance and modern amenities.

“The attention to detail is incredible,” said listing agents Susan Canavan and Deirdre Coit of Compass. “It’s a seamless blend of modern luxury and classic charm.”

The outdoor spaces are equally impressive, featuring a mosaic-tiled pool, a lighted tennis court, and a bocce ball court. Solar panels have been installed to ensure energy efficiency while maintaining the estate’s luxurious ambiance.

The listing describes the property as an “extraordinary retreat” offering unmatched privacy and a chance to “live the legacy of Bing Crosby.” Nestled within mature landscaping, the estate provides an idyllic escape for those seeking refined desert living.
