Kamala “Queen of Word Salads” Harris, her running mate Tim “Great Walz of China,” and her campaign staff have to be looking at this snippet of video from Bill “Bubba” Clinton and wondering just whose side he’s on. Take a look:

Wow. Just… wow. Let’s deconstruct that. Bubba said:

You had a case in Georgia not very long ago didn’t you, they were mad about a young woman who’d been killed by an immigrant. Yeah, well, if they’d all been properly vetted that probably wouldn’t have happened. But if they were all properly vetted, that doesn’t happen, and America is not having enough babies to keep our population up, so we need immigrants who have been vetted to do work, there wouldn’t be a problem. And he [Trump] couldn’t keep people all torn up and upset.

Holy tossed under the bus Batman! Bubba didn’t just yank the rug out from under Kamala Harris – he figuratively kicked her in the head after she hit the floor.

Former President Clinton is talking about Laken Riley, who was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant, a Venezuelan named José Antonio Ibarra. Clinton is correct; the process failed to catch Ibarra when he came across the border illegally. Ibarra was a member of the Tren de Aragua gang and had been arrested for theft and released before he attacked Laken Riley. The process failed at every step, and Laken Riley is dead because of that failure. There’s no other way to look at it.

But note the second part of that statement – “…America is not having enough babies to keep our population up.” Well, he’s right; Americans are not reproducing at replacement rate. Now, if it’s more babies we need, well, we know what makes babies happen, and one might think that people would need little encouragement in that… activity. (Hey, four kids here, we’ve done our part.) But it’s rather ironic for a politician from the pro-abortion, anti-family party whining about America not having enough babies.

But wait! There’s more! Clinton goes on to claim that our reproduction decline requires vetted immigrants – at least, he concedes that some kind of vetting is necessary, without bothering to point out that people who come in legally are vetted. But what he doesn’t mention is that floods of illegal immigrants depress wages, especially in entry-level and blue-collar jobs, and that our labor-force participation rate is at a tad over 62 percent. That’s not good, and it represents a lot of people who may be more motivated to do the “jobs Americans won’t do” if the labor market wasn’t depressed by floods of illegal immigrants.

So, yes, in several ways, Bubba has just yanked the rug out from under Kamala Harris – and gave her a couple of good kicks in the bargain. This is a cautionary tale, we can suppose, about asking former presidents to help a campaign; it doesn’t always work the way one might expect.
