On Tuesday, Joe Biden tried to convince donors to stick with him despite the backlash over his dismal debate performance. But the excuse he gave them was incredible and just more evidence of how unfit he is for the office he’s currently occupying, much less running again.

He claimed he did so poorly because he was so tired he almost fell asleep on the stage during the debate. Why? Because of his international travel. His last trip — to Italy — was 12 days before the debate, and he had more than a week to recover and prepare for the debate while holed up at Camp David, doing nothing else. On top of that, he was taking naps at midday during the debate prep.

So, the excuse was just bizarre. While international travel is grueling, especially for an older person, if he’s still so tired after 12 days that he’s falling asleep on stage, then he isn’t fit for office.

He’s Not Fit: Biden Just Gave an Insane Excuse to Donors for Dismal Debate Performance

We Have an Update on That Joe Biden 10 am – 4 pm ‘Coherency Window,’ and It’s Not Good

But now that confusion is even translating to his social media account as he mixes up the courts. Biden attacked the Supreme Court in a post made on Tuesday.

Yesterday’s Supreme Court  ruling on our pause on Liquified Natural Gas exports is incredibly disappointing.

I’ll continue doing everything I can to protect our environment and our communities, while ensuring America’s energy security.

Biden (or whoever might be running the account) then deleted the post despite the fact it was from his official account. He confused the decision of a federal district court in Louisiana with SCOTUS. The court decision was another loss for Biden blocking the Department of Energy freeze on new liquified natural gas exports.

This was even before 4 p.m., so it wasn’t in Joe’s sundowning time. So he — or whoever is pretending to be him — can’t even get a simple thing like that straight. So much for people helping him to “govern.” Yes, that’s what Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) said, that Biden would have people helping him govern. But it looks like the incoherence and the stupidity is catching.

This followed Biden’s remarks on Monday attacking SCOTUS over the presidential immunity decision involving former President Donald Trump. Biden made statements indicating he was furious that the Court threw a wrench into the lawfare against Trump. He falsely characterized the ruling as the Court deciding there were no limits on what a president could do and meaning that the office was no longer constrained by law. In fact, what the Court said was that presidents had presumptive immunity for official acts but not for unofficial acts.

Not only was Biden openly lying about what the Court decided, but he continued to use the decision as an excuse to attack the Court and once again upend all norms, attacking them over a variety of their decisions he didn’t like. He also encouraged people not to accept the Supreme Court decision.

I know I will respect the limits of the presidential power, as I have for three and a half years.  But any president, including Donald Trump, will now be free to ignore the law.

I concur with Justice Sotomayor’s dissent today.  She — here’s what she said.  She said, “In every use of official power, the president is now a king above the law.  With fear for our democracy, I dissent,” end of quote.

So should the American people dissent.  I dissent.

You don’t get to “dissent,” Joe — it’s now the law that you have to uphold whether you like it or not.

But this is what we have occupying the office now. Someone who preaches disrespect of the Supreme Court decisions he doesn’t like when they don’t help the lawfare against his political opponent. Someone who can’t — or whose underlings can’t — understand the difference between a federal district court and SCOTUS.
