Donald Trump reacted to Joe Biden’s bombshell news Sunday that he is abdonding his disastrous reelection campaign, and not surprisingly, the former president and current GOP nominee blasted Biden’s record and said he was “was not fit to run for president” and “never was” fit to serve.

“He is the worst president in the history of our country,” Trump told Fox News Digital in a phone interview Sunday afternoon. “There has never been a president so bad.”

But then he put forth the question that is sure to be discussed as long as Biden remains in office:

And I ask — who is going to be running the country for the next five months?

That will indeed be the question going forward—if the president is too cognitively impaired to run a campaign, how can he possibly run the most powerful nation on the planet?

Trump had plenty more to say, though, and took to Truth Social Sunday to continue his criticisms of the mess Joe has made of things.

All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t – And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

As we’ve reported, Biden has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor, and Bill and Hillary Clinton quickly announced their support as well. Former President Barack Obama issued a statement supporting Biden’s decision but notably did not mention Kamala in his message.

Trump would most likely be thrilled if Harris were to be the nominee because she is deeply unpopular and has few accomplishments to speak of after her three and a half years in office.

Trump is right here on two counts: Joe Biden is one of the worst, if not the worst, president in U.S. history, and we should all be wondering who will be running the country for the next five months. Expect the calls for him to step down to reach a deafening crescendo.
