Arctic blast has millions across US grabbing the jackets and gloves as temperatures plunge

A strong blast of arctic air from Canada has invaded portions of the central and eastern U.S., with many cities falling into the single digits on Sunday morning. And the cold air will be sticking around for at least the rest of the week as round after round of cold air pushes into the country, plunging temperatures below freezing as far south as the Deep South.
