Annie Leibovitz seems to be leaving city life behind—at least, for now. After listing her West Village condo in January 2024, the star photographer sold the property for $8 million. Records reveal that the home was purchased through TSN West Street, an LLC attached to a Brooklyn address.
The acclaimed visual artist initially purchased the 3,200-square-foot condo in October 2022 for $6.5 million. Housed inside architect Cary Tamarkin’s 1998 industrial-style complex, Leibovitz’s apartment was transformed into a luxury artist loft. Her workplace featured two bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, and large steel-frame windows overlooking the Hudson River. She also added modern touches to the interior including heated bluestone floors, round ceiling cutouts, a wood-burning fireplace, and a cozy library nook. Deborah Kern of The Corcoran Group held the listing.

The sale concludes Leibovitz’s back-to-back selling spree of her New York City properties in the past year. Leibovitz listed her dreamy Upper West Side duplex in October 2023 for $8.6 million, selling the 3,500-square-foot uptown abode for $10.6 million in February 2024. She bought the dwelling in 2014 for $11.3 million to be closer to her three daughters’ school in the area. In April 2024, she also listed her 65-acre ranch in Bolinas, California that has yet to be sold.

It doesn’t seem that the celebrity photographer is completely ditching New York for good, though, as she currently owns a 228-acre upstate estate in the upstate town of Rhinebeck. In an interview with the New York Times last year she said, “our house upstate is now our family home.”
