On Sunday, Jennifer Lund, 30, and Timothy Parks, 45, were driving in a Tesla and listening to a vulgar rap song titled “F*** Donald Trump” by YG, featuring Nipsey Hustle, when they decided to park in front of a home with a pro-Trump yard sign. This was not the first time the pair chose to play that song in front of that specific home, but it was the first time their targeted harassment landed them on the wrong side of a firearm and facing several criminal charges.
According to police, soon after parking in front of the northwest Las Vegas Valley home, three men approached the vehicle, one of whom would later punch Parks. The incident was caught on surveillance video.
Court documents obtained by 8NewsNow said:
Parks parked his Tesla in front of the residence with Lund in the passenger seat… [playing] the song ‘[Expletive] Donald Trump. Seconds later, three men approached the vehicle — with one man later punching Parks.
The driver of the Tesla drove off, reversed, and then ran over the shooter’s foot. https://t.co/eVt3kbtomx

Police said one of the men then took out a gun and pointed it at the car. Next, the video shows the car’s driver running over one man’s foot and then driving off. Police report at least seven bullets hitting the vehicle. One victim told police that Lund was screaming at him at the time the car approached the home, leading to the man punching Parks before he drove off, reversed, and ran over his foot. The individual who discharged the firearm reported that he feared for his life and is not currently facing charges stemming from the incident.
Court documents reveal that Lund felt entitled to harass the homeowners:
Lund stated since [the people] put the Trump sign in their yard, she feels like she has every right to tell them how she feels about it. Lund advised this was not the first time she went to that house to play the ‘[Expletive] Donald Trump’ song. Lund states she hates Donald Trump and hates every person who represents or votes for him.
Police say that Lund harassed the homeowners several times before. The pair face charges of assault, battery, and stalking.
Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Rebecca Saxe established bail for Lund and Parks at $20,000 each. As of Thursday, both defendants were still in custody at Clark County Detention Center.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in this incident of politically motivated harassment and assault. However, there’s a troubling trend where anti-Trump activists feel justified in targeting those with differing views. The same sentiments that fueled attempted assassinations of former President Donald Trump—coupled with the Biden administration labeling the Republican nominee and his supporters as “MAGA extremists” and a “threat to democracy”—contribute to this kind of street violence in our communities.
Extreme rhetoric is disrupting the peace as citizens prepare for an election that seems to be locked in a dead heat. As we approach the election, voters must prioritize their safety and well-being.
