On Sunday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem took to her official X account to announce the construction of seven more miles of border wall, which apparently extends the barrier in a key area in Arizona.

Secretary Noem said:
Everybody up here in Arizona and right at this spot, you can see where the border wall ends. As of today, we’re starting seven new miles of construction; we’re going to continue to make America safe again.
Fox News, on Monday, had more details.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem announced the building of seven miles of new border wall in Arizona as part of the administration’s efforts to “make America safe again.”
Noem’s announcement, coming in a short video posted to her X account, marks the beginning of additional border wall construction along the southern border during the second Trump administration. The DHS said in a press release Friday that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) had awarded the first contract of President Donald Trump’s second term to Granite Construction Co. for more than $70 million, which will result in seven miles of new border wall in the Rio Grande Valley Sector, according to Noem’s announcement.
Seven miles is good, and this is a key area; not only is it open to all and sundry, but it can be, especially in summer, a dangerous place to attempt a crossing. The climate and lack of water could be deadly for unprepared travelers. Shutting the border not only increases American security but also removes the draw that attracts would-be illegal immigrants to this stretch of border.

Vice President Vance has confirmed that the administration hopes to have the entire wall across the southern border complete by the end of President Trump’s second term in 2029.
Vice President JD Vance said earlier this month during a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas that he was under the belief that Trump was hoping to build a wall across every mile of the southern border by the end of his term in 2029.
“I think the president’s hope is that by the end of the term we build the entire border wall,” the vice president told reporters during a press conference.
Every mile counts; no doubt many in the legacy media will point to this announcement and proclaim it a wasted effort as only seven miles of wall are being built. Even so, just as the longest journey begins with a single step, so will a border wall begin with the first mile, and every mile of the wall put up is a mile closer to the goal. And when it comes to securing the border and removing illegal alien criminals, the difference between this administration and the previous one is too stark to be denied.
The administration is taking a lot of steps beyond completing the wall:

This administration has seen more success in dealing with this issue in 50+ days than the Biden administration did in four years. That’s good. This is what we voted for.
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left’s lies, new legislation wasn’t needed to secure our border, just a new president.
