David Coombes, director and selling principal of Ray White Young, Harden and now Boorowa, recently celebrated 30 years in real estate, and will soon mark 24 years as a business owner and 14 years with the Ray White group.

Mr Coombes said that this expansion brings the Ray White brand back to Boorowa, ultimately in response to the demand of locals and his quest to deliver enhanced real estate services to the Hilltops region.

Mr Coombes pointed out that whilst Boorowa is a new office, they have successfully maintained a sales and property management presence over the past nine years, operating remotely from their high performing Young office.

Boorowa, a farming township in the hilltops region of New South Wales, is known for its rich agricultural heritage, predominantly in cropping and grazing.

“The town is central to Yass, Young and Cowra, and is currently enjoying a Canberra influence. Its residential market has an untapped potential according to David and new land releases will guarantee Boorowa’s future growth,” Mr Coombes said.

Mr Coombes emphasised the importance of local presence, stating, “It is all about locals dealing with locals, and the Boorowa district is renowned for its considerable generational wealth.”

Mr Coombes is committed to supporting the local Boorowa community and further growing his team by employing local people.

“We currently have two local employees who live in the community and are super excited to be a part of the broader Ray White Young and Harden teams,” Mr Coombes said.

The new office, located on the main thoroughfare of Boorowa, was a strategic choice.

“We are responding to the townspeople of Boorowa and the market generally. It has all evolved organically and we are excited by what the future holds,” Mr Coombes said.

“It was initially difficult to find a premises as the CBD is tightly held, but we have secured a modern premises in the perfect position in the main street,” Mr Coombes said.

“The town itself relies heavily on the rural sector in the same way Young and Harden does, however there is a great deal of external interest in Boorowa with an injection of new comers, post covid times.”

Joining David’s Boorowa team are James Brown, as the area rural specialist, and Peter Gray who has more than 30 years experience in residential and lifestyle sales across Sydney and the Southern Highlands.

Property manager Julie Hardy manages their Boorowa portfolio and is well connected to the town.

Mr Coombes and Ms Hardy aim to grow the rent roll and provide superior property management services for current and future clients.

Sandy Wethered is brings extensive administration and customer service experience to the team, supporting both sales and property management.

Mr Coombes will share his time across his three offices with the assistance of both Bailey Coombes and Bonnie Wells, who will also have a presence.

There has been a buzz of activity these past three months since opening their doors in a high traffic location.

“We have had a lot of positive feedback and we’ve received a very warm welcome,” Mr Coombes said.

Ray White Rural CEO Stephen Nell said that he was thrilled for David and the team and for their third office expansion.

“With a proven sales record, local knowledge and a commitment to customer service, David Coombes and his team are set to make a significant impact in Boorowa’s real estate market just like they have in Young and Harden,” Mr Nell said.
