After the disastrous meeting between Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, President Donald Trump, and VP J.D. Vance, Sen. Lindsey Graham has minced no words about his thoughts on what went down. Surprising many, Graham hasn’t taken Zelensky’s behavior toward Trump and Vance, and the insult to America, very well. Any camera he’s put in front of has shown Graham applauding Trump standing his ground, and expressing pride in the President for his actions during the meeting.

And now Graham has taken it up a notch.

Graham is usually a huge fan of Zelensky, even admitting he’s been to Ukraine “eight or nine times since the war started.” He even called the billions the U.S. send to Kyiv the “best money we’ve ever spent,” a phrase that even got an arrest warrant issued for him in Russia. Graham was always willing to roll out the red carpet for Zelensky, handing over military hardware of every of kind. He even called Zelensky “the ally I’ve been hoping for all my life.”

But not today.

After the minerals deal fell through thanks to Zelensky’s petulance and entitlement, Graham is so done with Zelensky that he’s not only applauding the president for standing up to Zelensky, he’s now actively calling for Zelensky to resign.

“What I saw in the Oval Office was disrespectful, and I don’t know if we could ever do business with Zelensky again,” said Graham. “I think most Americans saw a guy they would not go into business with.”

Graham said Zelensky’s confrontational attitude toward Trump was “over the top,” and while the relationship between Ukraine and the U.S. is important but Zelensky’s ability to deal in the United States is now in question.

This lead to questions from the press, one of which was asking if Zelensky should resign. Graham seems to think so.

“He either needs to resign and send somebody over that we can do business with, or he needs to change,” said Graham.

What he means by “change” wasn’t elaborated on, but what Graham likely means is that Zelensky needs to come to the White House with a far more humble and grateful attitude, and show respect to the country that’s done so much for him. That includes the leaders he’s now doing business with.

Indeed, Zelensky’s behavior was nothing short of despicable, acting as if he was entitled to America’s respect, which is something he learned from the last administration. However, he learned only too late that Trump is not beholden to the media, and that attempting to shame him in front of cameras isn’t going to work.

This resulted in the back and forth that has apparently embarrassed Ukraine so badly that back in Kyiv, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky called for an emergency session of the Ukrainian Parliament to initiate impeachment proceedings against Zelensky.

It would seem Zelensky’s friends are quickly dropping in number, even those who seemed to love him here in America, but he only has himself to blame.
