Poor former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. She’s finally able to talk about the trauma that she endured in the final days of the Biden administration.
Jean-Pierre spoke out during a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics forum, expressing how disappointed she was in how Democrats pushed Joe Biden to the side after the one debate he had with Trump.
‘Personally what I think was the toughest thing in the three weeks, there was a disconnect for me what was happening in the leadership of the Democratic party,’ [….]
‘It was a firing squad and I had never seen anything like it before,’ she said. ‘I’d never seen a party do that in the way that they did and it was hurtful and sad to see that happening, a firing squad around a person who I believe was a true patriot.’ [….]
Jean-Pierre defended Biden’s accomplishments in office, adding she was surprised at how quickly the party turned against him.
‘That was shocking, shocking!’ she said. ‘Instead of coming together to really be unified and trying to figure out how do we save our democracy, how do we fight back, that was what it was seeing.’
She went on to say it was “truly unfortunate” and argued that it hurt Democrats “more than I think folks realized.”
Boo hoo. The Democrats did that to try to hold onto power. So much for “democracy.” And they got handed their heads for it, because not only was Biden awful, Kamala Harris was awful. The American people knew it and they weren’t having any of it anymore.
What was “truly unfortunate” wasn’t how Democrats treated Biden. It was how everyone had covered up for Joe Biden’s obvious mental decline for so long, and had he not flamed out so publicly they probably still would have tried to push him through and deceive the American people.
Oh, and KJP thinks she had the toughest job in the White House.
She said she definitely struggled in the job, wondering how she would get through the day, but continued pushing forward in the job.
‘I’m human at the end of the day,’ she admitted.
Jean-Pierre said she typically spent four hours preparing for the briefing and frequently relied on former senior advisor Mike Donilon to guide her on messaging.
‘Almost every word, everything I say has been approved,’ she said.
No, neither she nor Biden were the victims here. If she spent four hours in preparation, it didn’t take. And she’s saying they had to approve “almost every word.” Geez, talk about dictatorial. Or was it that they didn’t trust what she might say?
Then you mean that stuff she ended up saying was “approved”? Yikes.
She was asked about her future, and in a surprising turn, she didn’t really seem to have an answer as to what she would do next. I thought she’d already be back at MSNBC, but maybe they don’t want to go there, with all their shake-ups over there.

But truly, Democrats have no one to blame but themselves for all this.
