The Love Is Blind pods are moving to the Twin Cities for season 8.
“This Valentine’s Day 2025 will mark the five-year anniversary of the premiere of Love Is Blind and it will be the launch of season 8,” cohost Vanessa Lachey said during the season 7 reunion special, which hit Netflix in October 2024. “[It] takes place in Minneapolis! Here to kick off that season, we have three of the season 8 participants in the audience here.”
New cast members Alex, Brittany and Joey were then shown in the audience.
Love Is Blind season 1 debuted on Netflix in 2020, introducing the revolutionary dating experiment in which a group of singles attempt to meet their dream partner sight unseen in just 10 days. Pairs will only meet in person after getting engaged in the pods.
After seven seasons, the Love Is Blind has been proven to be a success with 11 couples still married. Season 4 alums Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski and Zack Goytowski, as well as season 3 favorites Alexa and Brennon Lemieux have welcomed babies, daughters Galileo and Vienna, respectively. (Matt Barnett and Amber Pike, who fell in love during the inaugural Love Is Blind season, are gearing up to join the parenting club as Amber announced her pregnancy earlier in October 2024.)

Where Is ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Taking Place?
The pods are moving up north, all the way to Minnesota for its eighth season. It was filmed in March 2024, per multiple fan sightings on social media.
Will Nick and Vanessa Lachey be Back as ‘Love Is Blind’ Hosts?
It is likely that the Lacheys, who have helmed every season of the U.S. version of the dating show, will return. They also announced season 8 while emceeing the previous season’s reunion special.

The ‘Love Is Blind’ Cast Has Been Revealed
Two of the men, Alex and Joey, sat beside female participant Brittany during the season 7 reunion.
“I personally just prioritized other things in my life and work and friends and travel,” Alex said of his decision to apply for the experiment. “It’s such a small community. It’s not, like, a major city, but it’s also not a small town so you kind of see the same people over and over and it’s a small bar scene. I just never found the right person that clicked for me, but I’m excited to be here.”
The full list of Minnesota-based participants dropped in January 2025, less than two weeks before the season premiere.
A ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Trailer Teases Lots of Drama
Netflix dropped a trailer on January 28, 2025, hinting that many of the pod participants find love.
“When the doors opened and I saw him, I thought, ‘He’s so familiar to me,’” one woman quipped in a voiceover. “I believe he knew exactly what I looked like the entire time we were talking through a wall.”
Other contestants proclaimed that they were so lucky to find love sight unseen.
Later in the clip, one Netflix bride-to-be claimed that she saw “a girl on TikTok crying” over a presumed ex. (In March 2024, a handful of social media users claimed to be dating contestants from season 8 shortly before filming began.)
Other castmates also questioned their partners’ fidelity. “The guy lives in the building we moved into,” one man alleged.
The Reunion Will Get Musical
Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen told Entertainment Weekly in February 2025 what’s in store for the tell-all special.
“During the reunion, we’re going to have our first-ever musical performance, which is going to be super exciting,” he teased. “The idea of music and love and celebration continues to be a big theme for us throughout the season, and hopefully for seasons to come.”

The first batch of Love Is Blind season 8 episodes will drop on Netflix February 14, 2025. Successive episodes will be released weekly.
