Love is in the air for the Prince and Princess of Wales!
Prince William, 42, and Princess Kate Middleton, 43, shared a sweet PDA moment in a candid photo shared to social media for Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14.
In the image, captioned with a heart emoji, William and Kate can be seen sitting on a blanket with woodland surroundings. They hold hands as William kisses Kate on the cheek.
The image was taken from the couple’s video message in September 2024 when Kate announced she had completed chemotherapy treatment.
In the video, Kate leans on William’s shoulder and the couple spend time playing cards and walking in the woods with their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
In January 2025, the princess said her cancer was officially in remission.
“It is a relief to now be in remission,” Kate said in a statement shared via Instagram on January 14.
“And I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal,” she said.
Though senior royals traditionally rarely share public displays of affection, it has become more common for the younger generation, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were recently photographed sharing a kiss while attending the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday, February 8.
Meanwhile, William and Kate have become more open and vulnerable in their social media exchanges.
For Kate’s 43rd birthday on January 9, William wrote in a loving tribute on social media, “To the most incredible wife and mother. The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable.”
“George, Charlotte, Louis and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W,” the message concluded.
