Henderson police chief placed on administrative leave

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Henderson Chief of Police Hollie Chadwick has been placed on administrative leave with an ultimatum to resign in 21 days or be fired, according to the City of Henderson.

Multiple sources also confirmed the news to 8 News Now Thursday afternoon.

The City of Henderson also stated that Henderson Deputy Chief Itzhak Henn is the acting chief of police and could not comment further on the matter Thursday night.

Chadwick was named the new chief of police and officially took office May 2023.

According to the city, Chadwick served the Henderson Police Department for 21 years, and has held several leadership positions “including sergeant of the patrol and problem-solving group, lieutenant overseeing SWAT & more.”

Chadwick’s photo remained on the City of Henderson’s website Thursday.

Henderson Police Department responded to 8 News Now’s request for comment but could not offer a statement on city employment matters and referred all questions back to the City of Henderson’s communications office.

New Henderson chief of police announced

The Henderson City Manager, Stephanie Garcia-Vause, is in charge of administration employment for all city departments, including hiring and firing, including the police chief.

In the past decade, two former Henderson police chiefs have filed lawsuits regarding their departures from the city. Former chief LaTesha Watson filed in 2023 and former chief Patrick Moers filed in 2018.
