There won’t have been many Champions League viewers expecting these two to have finished outside the automatic qualification places, but here we are!

Real Madrid are the title holders and, comfortably, the record winners of this competition (with 15 championships), while Manchester City were well among the pre-season favourites to win it for a second time.

But, after sub-par league-phase performances, one of them will not reach the last 16. We will find out which of the two it will be after today’s first leg and next Wednesday’s second leg.

And you will be able to keep up to date with every twist and turn right here, so don’t go anywhere!
