The Announcement:

Knight Frank has appointed Michael Kwok as Partner, Head of Capital and Strategic Advisory in ANZ, significantly strengthening the firm’s offering in this growing sector.

Mr Kwok joins Knight Frank following five and a half years at Archerfield Property Group, where he served as Executive Director.

His career includes notable positions at Dexus, Valad Property Group and CFS GAM.

Throughout his career, Mr Kwok has been involved in over $10 billion of capital transactions and developments, playing an integral role in establishing and managing more than $2.5 billion of wholesale investor property partnerships.

His expertise spans commercial office, industrial, healthcare and mixed-use precincts, with specific focus on investment opportunity origination, capital structuring, and asset management.

In his most recent role, Mr Kwok has successfully partnered with institutional groups including Goldman Sachs, Dexus, and Aware Real Estate.

Based in Knight Frank’s Sydney office, he will work closely with Neil Murray, Partner National Head of Occupier Strategy & Solutions, reporting directly to James Patterson, Chief Executive Officer in Australia.

“I’m excited to be growing Knight Frank’s Capital and Strategic Advisory offering, which is an evolving space in commercial property globally,” Mr Kwok said.

“I’m also looking forward to leveraging Knight Frank’s many partnerships including McGrath in Australia and Bayleys in New Zealand, as well as Cresa and Berkadia in the US and the Knight Frank Private Office in the UK.”

Knight Frank CEO James Patterson expressed enthusiasm about the appointment.

“Michael is a great fit for our Capital and Strategic Advisory offering and is well equipped to deliver new initiatives, with a strong background in this space across both institutional and private capital,” Mr Patterson said.

“His vast institutional experience and global investor network will also assist Knight Frank’s Capital Markets service offering.”

The appointment follows Knight Frank’s expansion of its Capital Advisory presence across Asia-Pacific last year.
