The Announcement:

Laing+Simmons has expanded its presence on the NSW coast with the opening of Laing+Simmons Coffs Harbour under the leadership of co-Directors Hayden Morris and Lachie Sewell.

The new office, which opened in 2024, has made an immediate impact on the local market, achieving over $20 million in sales since opening

Mr Sewell, who is also Principal of the award-winning Laing+Simmons Armidale, has partnered with Mr Morris to bring a complete service offering to the region, including sales, property management, and project marketing.

The team has already demonstrated its effectiveness, reducing the average days on market from the local average of 50 days to just 23 days for their listings.

They’ve also set a new suburb record for Korora, achieving $3.9 million for 15 Shell Cove Lane.

“There is real optimism in the market at the moment,” Mr Morris said.

“There’s confidence on both the buyer and vendor side, enquiries are up, there is evidence that investors are returning in greater numbers, and out of area buyers are more common.”

The office has shown its innovative approach by launching multiple campaigns on Boxing Day, successfully selling properties across Valla Beach, Urunga, Sawtell, Korora, Sapphire Beach and Sandy Beach.

“As with everything we do, we simply asked ‘why?’. Just because something has been the case in the past doesn’t mean it can’t change in the future,” Mr Morris said.

“People have time to stop and consider during the break. They also have time to search.”

Mr Sewell sees significant growth potential in the region.

“The Coffs Harbour region is growing and it’s no surprise why. Everyone knows the beauty of the coast and its beaches but there’s also the vibrant social scene, the mix of industries and employment opportunities,” Mr Sewell said.

The new office is part of Laing+Simmons’ broader expansion, joining recently opened offices in Concord, Kings Langley, Maroubra, Ingleburn and Point Cook (VIC).
