One of many good things that can be said about President Donald Trump is that, as a general rule, he knows how to pick some pretty impressive press secretaries.
We saw it during his first term in office, with the two most well-received (among conservatives) press secretaries being Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany, both of who were sharp as tacks. They typically arrived loaded-for-bear to every White House press briefing knowing full well it could devolve into a Romper Room episode at any point if they didn’t take control and manage it and its various media personalities the right way.
Like McEnany, Trump’s press secretary for his second term in office, Karoline Leavitt, was also a campaign press secretary before being promoted and has also proved to be extremely formidable only two weeks into her current role.

As further evidence, we turn to a press gaggle Tuesday that featured US Special Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump National Security Advisor (and former Congressman) Michael Waltz.
On tap for discussion was the aftermath of what they described as the “imperfect” Biden-negotiated Israel-Hamas ceasefire/hostage deal, its different phases, etc. ahead of Trump’s highly anticipated meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
But during the course of the gaggle, reporters repeatedly yelled out questions at Waltz and Witkoff simultaneously, and it made it impossible to hear what they were asking much less answer them.
In stepped Leavitt to bring peace and sanity to the briefing.
“Guys, let’s act like adults here,” she said, quieting everyone down instantly. “They are generously offering their time to answer your questions. You don’t need to scream at them like a bunch of schoolchildren. Weijia [Jiang from CBS News], go ahead.”

And to think she’s just 27 years old and, to boot, a new mom to a baby boy who was born three days before the first assassination attempt against Trump.

But is she stressed out over all the news coming out of the administration that most of us are struggling to keep up with? Doesn’t seem to be, if her interview on Fox News Monday night was a reliable indicator:
“It’s easy to do a good job when you are acting on common sense and you are speaking the truth,” she added. “That’s exactly what President Trump is doing every single day.”
Hannity then noted that Canada, Mexico, Panama, Denmark, Colombia and Venezuela have “caved” to Trump in recent days and the killing of ISIS terrorists didn’t receive a ton of coverage from the legacy media.
“That’s right, there is so much good news, so much winning out of the Trump White House right now that the mainstream legacy media can’t keep up with it,” Leavitt said.
You go, girl.
