Harcourts SA has welcomed back industry veteran Jo Phelps to the role of State Operations Manager/Events, bringing her extensive experience and deep understanding of the organisation’s values to the position.

Ms Phelps’ journey with Harcourts began in 2005 as a Sales Consultant at one of the early Brock Harcourts offices, where she developed her foundational skills in real estate.

Her career progression includes roles as a Personal Assistant, Office Manager, and a previous stint as Operations and Events Manager in the corporate team from 2014.

This diverse experience across multiple aspects of the business has given Ms Phelps unique insights into the needs of the Harcourts SA network.

“With a background in retail, I feel very passionate about customer service—for external clients, our team, and the offices I engage with,” Ms Phelps said.

“Having worked as a Sales Consultant, I understand what is required from a support team; as an admin within an office, I know the kind of assistance needed from a state team.”

Ms Phelps said it was important to keep delivering value through exceptional events in her new role.

“I want our events to be truly valuable – attending should feel worthwhile, not just in terms of cost but also in the content and network interactions they provide,” she said.

“Time away from the office and family must be rewarded with meaningful insights and experiences.”

Harcourts SA CEO Heather Edwards was excited about the appointment.

“She embodies the brand’s core values—people first, doing the right thing, being courageous, and having fun while doing it,” Ms Edwards said.

“Her deep understanding of the Harcourts network, from sales to admin to state operations, positions her as an instrumental leader in continuing to deliver top-tier service and support to the SA region.

“Blue has been in my veins for many years,” Ms Phelps said, “and there’s much more to come.”
