Entire blocks were seen razed to the ground in southern Gaza’s Tas as-Sultan area on Tuesday, January 21, after a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas came into effect on Sunday.

This footage showing widespread destruction in Tas as-Sultan was captured by Gaza-based journalist Tariq Dahlan.

Residents returned to the Tal as-Sultan area, within the Rafah governorate, to find homes and infrastructure completely destroyed, Al Mayadeen reported on Tuesday. Credit: Tariq Dahlan via Storyful
