If ever there was a fitting ending for that moment in time known as the Biden years, it has to be the final press conference held Thursday by Secretary of State Antony Blinken. Chaos erupted as Blinken used the occasion to take a victory lap to celebrate the fragile ceasefire that has been agreed to by both sides in the war between Israel and Hamas.

As RedState’s Bob Hoge reported Wednesday, the tentative deal would see a (likely temporary) cessation of hostilities, and the release of several dozen hostages being held in Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

The proposed deal, which would still need approval from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Security Cabinet, was hammered out after months of back in forth during tense negotiations. The two parties have been at war for 15 months after Hamas’ savage surprise attack on the Jewish state on Oct. 7, 2023, a depraved slaughter that killed over 1,200.

Per at least one report, the deal was facilitated by both the Biden national security team and President-elect Donald Trump’s advisers.

Biden’s national security adviser Jake Sullivan and his top Middle East adviser Brett McGurk started meeting with their successors on the Trump team, Mike Waltz and Steve Witkoff, to coordinate their efforts.

The payoff of the coordinated effort was Wednesday’s ceasefire and the pending release of hostages. Trump has made it known that “all hell will break out” if the hostages, including at least three of whom are American, aren’t released before he takes office on January 20th.

That brings us to the final Blinken press conference, where he faced questioning from the press on why it took the administration 15 months to broker the deal. When asked if he would change anything about the way he dealt with Israel, Blinken responded that the Israeli government was “basically supported by an overwhelming majority of Israelis after the trauma of October 7,” and the U.S. factored that in when crafting its policy.

This, apparently, was too much for the likes of “journalists” Max Blumenthal and Sam Husseini, who both began heckling Blinken for “allowing” a genocide to happen in Gaza.

“Criminal!” Husseini screeched as three guards carried him out of the briefing room, according to footage posted on X. “Why aren’t you in The Hague! Why aren’t you in The Hague! Why aren’t you in The Hague!”

“You pontificate about a free press!” he erupted. “I am asking questions after being told by [spokesman] Matt Miller that he will not answer my questions.”

Not to be outdone, Blumenthal, who works for Grayzone News, began to also break down.

“Why did you keep the bombs flowing when we had a deal in May?” he asked, according to video footage of the disturbance that he posted on X. “Why did you allow my friends’ homes in Gaza to be destroyed?”

Both men made a scene and were unable to control their emotions to such an extent that several security guards had to physically remove them from the room. It’s shameful behavior from two supposedly grown men.

Blumenthal was so proud of his public fit that he took to X to offer one last parting shot.

After having watched Code Pink whackos disrupt several confirmation hearings this week, I can confidently say that Blumenthal and Husseini are nothing more than activist hecklers who run around disguised as journalists. It’s hard to feel sorry for Blinken and the Biden administration, as they’ve had an active hand in creating the monster currently known as the media.

Still, it’s a fitting end for the Biden administration’s foreign policy arm, with chaos reigning supreme.
