The Green Bay Packers might have to finish Sunday’s wild-card game against the Philadelphia Eagles without wide receivers Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed after the pair suffered injuries in the third quarter.

Doubs exited the contest to be evaluated for a concussion after appearing to land hard on the back of his head following a jump ball in the end zone. Trainers tended to Doubs during a lengthy stoppage while players gathered around him. Doubs eventually walked off the field and to the locker room with two trainers assisting him. The receiver has sported a Guardian Cap — the soft-shell helmet covers intended to help reduce head injuries — since returning in Week 15 from a head injury he sustained in Week 12.

Just over a month ago, Doubs missed two games after sustaining a concussion in a win over the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. The third-year pro recorded 46 catches for 601 yards and four touchdowns during the 2024 regular season, and added two catches for 13 yards prior to exiting against the Eagles.

Reed later exited with a shoulder injury on the drive after Doubs went down and was announced as questionable to return; he recorded four catches for 46 yards before leaving. To make matters worse for Green Bay’s starting lineup, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins left the game early in the first half following a big hit to his right shoulder from Eagles linebacker Nolan Smith.

The growing list of injuries worsens an already concerning situation for the ailing Green Bay offense, a unit that also lost receiver Christian Watson to a torn ACL in Week 18.
