With its just-launched Custom Sized Rugs program, Stark is extending its made-to-order offering to consumers. Choose from more than 70 style-spanning floor coverings online—from Ziggy’s intricate geometry to Wildcat, a statement animal print—then decide on the color and type in the desired length and width. Perhaps even more impressive is the program’s lead time: Stark’s fabrication studio will have the custom rug, complete with edges trimmed in complementary yarn, shipped in less than three weeks.

Goons’ planar styles set the tone at St Vincents

St. Vincents in downtown Antwerp is a boutique gallery for contemporary collectibles, like the Brace Chair and Five Points Table.

Paris-based studio Goons, led by life-and-work partners architect Paul Trussler and fashion designer and creative director Mia Kim, presents Evolving Forms (through March 1) at St Vincents in Antwerp. An expansion of their previous works, the planar range features a console and two dining tables crafted from Scandinavian birch plywood, as well as a stool, bench, and chairs embellished with pure Italian wool cushions. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s five points of modern architecture, the versatile pieces transform into a workspace or children’s play area.

Project Spotlight

BoND’s LA take on Le Père is a neon dream

When BoND conceived the New York flagship for cult menswear label Le Père in the Lower East Side, the local AD PRO Directory firm opted for a homey gallery feel. For Le Père’s new LA outpost—and BoND’s Golden State debut—a 1,100-square-foot space on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, the atmosphere is decidedly more Californian. Eager for the clothes to take center stage, BoND founders Noam Dvir and Daniel Rauchwerger took a restrained approach, embracing large swaths of oak that nod to skate parks and theaters in the form of seating, storage, and displays. Splashes of concrete and stark white offset Le Père’s signature bright yellow hue, while crisp white floor-to-ceiling curtains add an airy yet enigmatic touch to the storefront windows.

The Elder Statesman brings West Coast whimsy to SoHo

The world of the Elder Statesman is ingrained in lavish yet laidback materials, authentic craftsmanship, and a stroke of imagination. So too is the LA label’s debut New York flagship, now open on Crosby Street in SoHo. A collaborative effort by architectural designer Isaac Brest and interior designer Michael Bargo, the transportive space is wrapped floor to ceiling in cedarwood paneling. The brand’s coastal warmth is further conveyed with curved plaster archways, cream-colored terra-cotta-tiled flooring, and artisan focal points, like the galactic resin sconce by Brooklyn-based lighting designer Moch Hahn. Meanwhile, eye-catching patchwork curtains and a stacked cashmere bed (both available made-to-order) express the Elder Statesman’s textile prowess alongside throws, pillows, clothing, and more.
