HOLLAND — Detectives with the Holland Department of Public Safety have identified a possible suspect in the recent burglary of Super Hideaway Gaming, and recovered stolen merchandise.
The robbery took place overnight Sunday, Nov. 10, and included trading cards worth more than $15,000, including $14,000 in singles and $1,600 in sealed products.

After reviewing nearby surveillance cameras, HDPS wrote in a release Tuesday, detectives were able to identify the vehicle they believed was used in the robbery. Officials located the car, obtained a search warrant, and found many of the stolen cards inside.

Business owner Aaron Mooneyhan declined comment when contacted by The Sentinel on Tuesday. Since the break-in, he’s made a campaign on GoFundMe to help recoup some of his losses. It’s since raised $3,805.
The suspect’s name was not released Tuesday, but detectives plan to submit a report to the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges in the near future.
According to a previous report from HDPS, the robbery didn’t appear random, and was reminiscent of other recent break-ins at stores in Kentwood and Grandville, as well as Ace Sports Cards on Eighth Street.

Mooneyhan previously said money raised in the GoFundMe would go toward repairs and restocking sealed and single inventory, as well as installing an upgraded security system.
“We relied on those singles (because) they sell the fastest in store and online,” he said. “It hurts even more that we can’t service our customers who rely on them for tournaments and casual play and collecting.”
