Founded 25 years ago by John Flower, Flower Construction is a go-to for historical restorations and period-inspired new builds across the East Coast. Working in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, the full-service general contractor collaborates with top architects and designers on projects ranging from the renovation of a barn in Bucks County to the transformation of a West Village town house. Flower Construction is a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and the Sir John Soane Museum Foundation.

Forma Construction collaborated with designer Katie Spalding and architecture firm Chambers + Chambers on the renovation of Spalding’s own Victorian home in San Francisco.

Historic rehabilitations are one of Forma Construction’s specialties. The San Franscico–based firm has a talent for elevating the original details of a home while imbuing the space with soul and warmth. The firm has completed restorations and renovations throughout the Bay Area, including the complete renovation of a 1913 Beaux Arts home in lower Nob Hill, the reconstruction of a guesthouse of a historic Napa Winery destroyed by the 2017 Kincaid fires, and the execution of several spaces in the 2024 San Francisco Decorator Showcase.
