The Announcement:

Simon and Melanie Winter of Raine & Horne Business Sales have acquired Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia.

The strategic acquisition strengthens Raine & Horne Commercial’s footprint in South Australia and reinforces its status as a leader in the state’s commercial real estate market.

In recent years, Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia, a full-service sales and leasing agency led by experienced principal David Ente, has completed 160 transactions totalling over $200 million.

To ensure a seamless transition, Mr Ente will stay in a sales and advisory role, supporting the Winters as they build on his legacy.

Chris Nicholl, Head of Commercial Network at Raine & Horne Commercial, expressed his delight with the decision.

“David has built an impressive legacy at Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia, and Melanie and Simon’s strategic decision to acquire the business ensures that this successful office remains a valued part of the Raine & Horne Commercial family,” Mr Nicholl said.

“Simon Winter has won multiple awards, including the REIA’s Business Broker of the Year, and along with Melanie, runs a fantastic business.

“As leaders in their field of business sales in South Australia, they know a thing or two about running a successful business.”

Ms Winter will lead Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia, following the acquisition opportunity presented by James Trimble, General Manager of Raine & Horne SA.

“It quickly became clear to us what a fantastic opportunity this is,” Mr Winter said.

After a career in residential real estate, property management and commercial sales, Ms Winter transitioned into business broking in 2016, leveraging her negotiation and marketing expertise.

“All personnel will remain, which is great news for our commercial lessors,” Ms Winter said.

“This acquisition includes a significant rent roll, featuring five property managers and approximately 570 commercial properties, which is a considerable asset for us.

“We will build on the foundation that David has established with Raine & Horne Commercial South Australia.

“Selling businesses and properties creates a valuable synergy for us. The real advantage we’re already experiencing is that we can now engage with clients about both services.”
