You knew it was coming.

If you’re even remotely familiar with ABC’s “The View” and its co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, you know that they couldn’t be more afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome if they tried.

You also knew, after now-President-elect Donald Trump’s blow-out defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday, that Wednesday’s episode of the often-hilarious ABC show was going to be must-watch TV.

It was. And then some.

Whoopi, who made a point to say she still won’t say Trump’s name, kicked off the show by surprisingly coming across as a bit conciliatory, but within minutes, “profoundly disturbed” Sunny Hostin warned of coming “internment camps,” and that black women’s rights will be diminished, if not taken away completely.

Oh, and “uneducated white women” are to blame for Kamala’s historic beatdown, so there’s that.

It was both comedy gold and predictable evidence that the ladies still don’t get it — and they never will.

Whoopi, the show’s moderator, dryly began: “So, what happened last night? Anybody do anything interesting?”

Behar was first out of the gate to offer her assessment (emphasis, mine).

My takeaway is that the system works, we live in a democracy, people spoke…I vehemently disagree with the decision that Americans made, but I feel very, very hopeful that we have a Democratic system in this country. We should value it, we should love it, we should protest if the situation arises that we need to protest which I’m sure it will. I’ve been through this before with Nixon. It’s been very difficult but boy oh boy do we have a country. If we can keep it.

Translation: “The system works, but I vehemently disagree with how it worked, this time. We’re going to protest every time Trump does something we don’t like, just like we did with Richard Nixon. We have to fight to save this country from conservatives.”

‘Profoundly Disturbed’ Sunny Hostin Didn’t Disappoint

Racist extraordinaire Hostin went there, as predicted, and then some.

I’m profoundly disturbed….I think in 2016 we didn’t know what we would get from a Trump Administration but we know now. We know that he will have almost unfettered power

I’m worried not for myself actually, or my station in life, I’m worried about the working class. I worry about my mother, a retired teacher.

I worry about our elderly and their Social Security and health care. I worry about my children’s future, especially my daughter who now has less rights than I had

I remember my father telling me many, many years that I was the first person in his family to enjoy full civil rights, and now I have less civil rights than I had when he told me that.

I could go through every false point Hostin made and refute it with both facts and Trump’s pledges for a second term.

So could you, I suspect. But let’s not waste the time, and instead move on with the show.

Hostin was also profoundly disturbed that Democrats’ grand plan — via lawfare — to take out Trump with the 14th Amendment failed spectacularly.

I am profoundly disturbed that the 14th Amendment of the Constitution did not prevent someone who participated in an insurrection from becoming the president of the United States

I think that going forward the ‘convicted felon’ box on employment applications better be taken off because if you can be president of the United States then you should not be prevented from employment in this country.

Has anyone checked on Sunny after the show?

Whoopi Finds a Way to Laud Kamala’s Disastrous Campaign

This was truly comedy gold.

Think about this. [Harris] did this in two months. Everybody can always say she should have done this, she should have done this. She was everywhere, she talked to everybody and people didn’t come out. I don’t know why and it doesn’t even matter. … And I’m still not going to say his name.”

Aww, are you OK, Whoopi?

Yeah, well, Kamala’s “flawless campaign” was ultimately eclipsed by a historic night for Donald Trump and freedom-loving Americans.

Annnd that’s a wrap.

The Bottom Line

As I wrote at the top, the Trump-loathing ladies predictably proved that they still don’t get — and they never will.

Rather than think about the issues that most concerned voters in this election — the continued surge of illegal aliens into the country and the economy as the top concern — they blamed voters for being too stupid to understand that Kamala Harris and her radical policies were the real problem.

Not to pile on, but who’s “stupid” here?
