Madison De La Garza and boyfriend Ryan Mitchell have experienced significant tragedy as a couple since they went public with their relationship earlier this year, announcing the death of their first child in October 2024.
It’s unclear when exactly the pair began dating, though they went public when De La Garza took their relationship Instagram official in June. This was also the first photo De La Garza had shared of her and Mitchell together. (Mitchell, who is also an actor, appears to be largely inactive on social media.)
On Saturday, October 26, De La Garza announced that her first baby, a girl named Xiomara, had died following an emergency c-section. Thousands of people flocked to the comments section to share their sympathies, including De La Garza’s older sister Demi Lovato, who wrote, “I love you so much Xiomara. An angel in every sense of the word. I’ll be your auntie forever. 💔”
